Tea Time Tuesday Autumn Programme

In September & October, alongside our regular Tea Time Tuesday slot from 11am – 4.30pm at the Marks Gate Community Centre, we have special local Marks Gate guests and resident artist Sadia Ur-Rehman delivering a series of FREE creative workshops, drop in for a cuppa and take part in:

Tuesday 9th September at 1 – 2.30pm: ‘Cupcake Decorating’ with Surena’s Cupcakes
Decorate a delicious cupcake with your own design to take home with local resident Surena Stevens of Surena’s Cupcakes.

Tuesday 16th September at 1 – 4pm: DIY Quote Art
Got a favourite quote? Why not turn this into a piece of art with resident artist Sadia Ur-Rehman.

Tuesday 23rd September at 2 – 3.30pm: ‘Design a Card’ with Jeanette Scipio
Christmas will be here before you know it! Why not design and create your own handmade card for the occasion with Jeanette.

Tuesday 30th September at 12 – 4pm: Framing Marks Gate Pop Up Photo Studio
Come and get yourself framed and your picture taken in our pop-up studio with up and coming photographer Connie Taylor.

Tuesday 7th October at 2 – 3pm: ‘Design a ‘Doodle’ Postcard’ with John Grocott
Back by popular demand! John Grocott likes doodling on postcards to create unique works of art, why not join John and create your own design. A selection of these will be exhibited at a later date.

Tuesday 14th October at 1 – 4pm: Make your own tea bag & tea caddy
Resident artist Sadia Ur-Rehman loves tea! Make your very own teabags using loose leaf tea and a variety of spices; you can even make a tea caddy to carry your new tea!

Tuesday 21st October at 1-4pm: Make your own notebook
Everyone needs a notebook! Join resident artist Sadia Ur-Rehman to create your own specially designed and individual notebook.
