Marks Gate Pop-ups

Here are the exciting details of our ‘Marks Gate Pop-ups’; a series of free pop-up events, tea parties and art activities that we’ll be hosting across Marks Gate in May:

1. The Haven Tea Party

Thursday 15th May, 1.30 – 4.30pm at the Porta cabin on Tantony Green

Pop in for a special tea party at the Haven, have a cuppa tea and a slice of cake whilst designing and making your own ‘Marks Gate Paper Tea Cup’. Come and ‘Vote Art’ with us and select an arts activity that you would like to take part in at the ‘Marks Gate Get Arty’ event.

2. Marks Gate Tea Party

Tuesday 27th May, 1-3pm, Marks Gate Community Centre

A Marks Gate inspired pop-up tea party with artist Sadia Ur-Rehman as part of the project ‘A Local Dialogue’. Explore your local area and it’s gems through a series of special games and activities. Join us from 1-3pm at the Marks Gate Community Centre.

3. ‘Marks Gate Get Arty’

Thursday 29th May, 12.30 – 3.30pm at the Porta Cabin on Tantony Green
Come and get arty at this free event, they’ll be lots of different art and craft activities to try out. After our ‘Vote Art’ activity last week, it was decided by local children that artist Sadia Ur-Rehman will build a model house with their help, why not get involved and add your ideas?

4. ‘Marks Gate Bunting’

Saturday 31st May, 12 – 5pm at the Wellgate Farm Open Day
Artist Sadia Ur-Rehman will be bringing the Marks Gate Bunting project to the ‘Wellgate Farm Open Day’. Why not get crafty and make a flag toadd to this growing project.
