Marks Gate Gets Arty

On Thursday 29th May, in collaboration with the Haven we hosted pop-up art event ‘Marks Gate Get Arty’, this event was the third event that formed our series of Marks Gate Pop-ups in May.

There were numerous arts and craft activities to try out including a series delivered by local Marks Gate residents, these were; ‘jewellery making’ with Coby Stewart, ‘candle decorating’ with Cassandra Frederick, ‘loom band making’ with our resident loom band expert Tenayah, aged 10, ‘Make a Face’ with Stavrolla Hoxha and finally a lovely ‘bag decorating’ session with Kate Spiegelhoff. Pheww, what a line up! We loved that there was so much creativity and skill sharing on Marks Gate flowing that day.

To accompany this line up we also brought along our ‘Marks Gate’ Bunting project, in which you could design a flag to add to the growing line and after our ‘Vote Art’ activity at previous event’ the Haven Tea Party you could also make your very own miniature model house. Lots of creative fun!
