Introducing the Agyemangs

As part of the Framing Marks Gate series we photographed and interviewed a series of local residents and key workers who have played an interesting role on Marks Gate. Meet the Agyemangs, a lovely, musical family that live on Marks Gate. They share their Marks Gate story with us.

Tell us a little bit about yourself.

We are a very creative family, that enjoys dancing!

Why are you on Marks Gate?

We live here and both of our boys attend school on the estate.

How long have you known Marks Gate?

Kofi has lived on the estate for 20 years, Jenine and the children have been here for 7 years.

What are your experiences of Marks Gate?

Being surprised by how much greenery there is on  the estate!

The children enjoy going to school on Marks Gate, the school is small and intimate, the boys therefore get a lot more out of their education. We have also made friends in the area.

Tell us a special memory that you have of Marks Gate.

Being able to have our own home together as a family. We have also made some great friends on the estate.
