Creative Cafe on Marks Gate Launch

Posted on Mar 19, 2015 by in Blog, Creative Cafe, Events | 0 comments

Back by popular demand, artist Sadia Ur-Rehman is returning to Marks Gate after her successful residency project ‘A Local Dialogue’  last year. Sadia is currently setting up a pop—up ‘creative café’ from the Marks Gate Community Centre and working with local residents to transform a space into a café, gallery and creative workshop space. The Creative Café will be launched on Wednesday 1st April, 11am – 2pm at the Marks Gate Community Centre.

  • Speech and ribbon cutting by Darren Rodwell, Leader of Barking & Dagenham Council
  • Share a special Marks Gate memory with us
  • Help us to create a growing pom-pom installation
  • Find out about our exciting programme of pop-up events, activities and workshops including a great selection of visiting artists hosting ‘takeover days’ once a month.

We hope you can join us to sample our selection of teas, coffees and sweet, delectable treats served on fine bone china and celebrate the official opening of the Creative Café.

Please RSVP to creativecafe@ideas-station.com
